About Miskitu Nation Foundation

This foundation was created by Rev. Josephinie Robertson, who escaped political assassination in 1960 from her home country of Miskitu Coast, with the purpose of bringing social justice, cultural preservation, and ecological renewal to the once sovereign nation. The Miskitu people are the original people of Central America along with the Incas and Aztecs and until the 19th century was a self sustaining global country. SAVEMNF wants to rebuild communities, reinvigorate deforested areas, provide legal aid and help a rich culture thrive. With your help to this grassroots campaign, you can see positive change in real time. By working along with natives/indigenous people, we can reverse the damage humanity has done and continue to thrive! We want to be a part of the modern world while showing the modern world the wisdom we have.

We are demanding the United Nation be proactive and STOP ignoring our plight! On Thursday, 11 Sumu Miskitu weaponless Farmers, men were Massacred and their corpses were abused by armed Colonos. Colonos are mestizos from the pacific directed by Ortega/Murillo directed to commit genocide, then they take our land and or our gold!
All those minerals will always be there even when we all die!  This month alone many more have died! Our lives are as precious as anyone else and to not see and act on this butchery off humans is complicity!
